We decided to take a jolly up to Larnaca today and get our lunch on the seafront, we drove up trying to use up all the petrol we had left in the tank as we are collecting a new car rental tomorrow. We parked the car in one of the little side street parking areas took Stitch out of the back and headed along the prom, we walked right along the front then headed around the back streets as I knew a little cafe tucked away where I had taken lunch with the Duncan's when they were over. We found a table but had to wait until a shady one became available because the sun was gonna burn my skin off and tan lines are a no no. Eventually a table freed up and we moved across, Stitch was in his usual place under the table and we ordered lunch, myself I took Chicken gyros and my beloved a chicken salad drizzled with honey and mustard dressing, both dishes we very tasty, mine was skewered chicken with pitta triangles and had been fired on the stove, adding to the taste of the juicy chicken, my beloved's chicken was heavenly but he struggled with all the grass.
We finished our lunch and headed back along the prom and the car, but along route I took detours into every bag shop looking for a bum bag a requirement of Stitch's obedience class, unfortunately I could find no girly bum bags so we left. On route home we took a detour to the salt lake, today the water is considerably lower than when we were here on 25th March and the salt lay heavy on the ground, we parked outside Hala Sultan Tekke a mosque built over the tomb of the foster mother of the Prophet Mohammed (reportedly)which sits on the edge of the salt lake in Larnaca.

We let Stitch out of the car which proved a rather daft thing to do when he spotted a cat and tore off after it, he then managed to corner it in a bush and precede to bark at it, if only the cat had chased him back the barking would have stopped. Once we reined him back in we set off around the salt lake following the path that went around the edge, managing to avoid another cat sleeping in the shrubbery, but only just, then it was back in the car and home again.
Once again we spent a quite evening in, just the three of us, The Mentalist is almost finished and as the internet strength is not strong enough to download the next instalments I'm really not sure how we will cope until we leave Cyprus, because we have nothing else to watch, maybe I will finish that book I purchased at Heathrow! You just never know.
