Cape Greco

It was scorchio today and my beloved had decided to take me on a day trip to Ayia Napa and Cape Greco, we set off with the dog in back of the the Jeep and headed towards Napa, it was a lovely journey all the way there although very hot in the jeep even with air con, unfortunately it wasn't until we arrived I figured out how to turn the air con on in the back of the jeep for the pooch.

We arrived at Ayia Napa and drove through to Cape Greco, I still find it funny that Cyprus is still so quiet, even with the Easter break it is just ohh sooo quiet!  We all took a stroll around the sea caves looking at the beautiful colours the sea was displaying, it's not called Cape Greco for nothing Stitch was having a ball chasing Geckos the minute his little paws hit the sand, he didn't know which way to go first there were so many of them.

Stitch had to be called back a few times as cliff jumping is not something I want him interested in, and I'm sure like his Dad he was thinking "I can make that", which is something my beloved always says when he is in an elevated position above any body of water, I have learn't to just say "yes dear" and move along quickly for fear that he may indeed one day attempt such a stupid feat of acrobatics.  The dog was just looking for a way out of the heat I believe, but knowing him like I do he would only have to see a bird or a butterfly and he would follow it straight over the cliff.

We walked around the caves and took pics of the scenery before heading into Napa for some lunch, we ended up at the harbour and found Issacs, a little taverna on the harbour sitting under some trees, we found a table and as usual Stitch was underneath it, trying his best to ignore a cat or three that liked to come over and see just how close they could get before Stitch was gonna get them.  We ordered our lunch and today it was Whitebait and greek salad, the Whitebait here tends to be bigger than at home, still tasty but I like my fish-with-heads on a little smaller, that way I don't have to think about the fact that I'm eating fish brains!! The salad was lush, the tomatoes juicy and sweet, the feta fluffy and tangy and the whole meal followed by the complementary Commandria was a delight, in fact even the Americana was a hit, so often it can be Nescafe for the tourist when abroad, but I love it when I am surprised by proper coffee with delicate aromas.

We walked around Napa for a while before heading back to the car and home again, this time with the air con flowing in the front and the back of the jeep.

Once again it was Mentalist time in our house and I have no idea what we are going to do as now as we are up to date with the series and will have to find something else to entertain usbecause we still have no TV, this is a crazy country where nothing happens fast, and even if it does happen don't expect it to be right....
