Monday
Another early start for the Hobo's, leave Turriff, fly to London, cross London, arrive in Dartford, all in all it took longer to get here than it did to get from Limassol.
Supper was an Indian, my beloved did his usual, ordered a hot curry and then perspired all the way through it, although I have to say he must have been on his best behaviour as he hardly moaned at all, the beetroot face gave it away though, but I'm sure Lou Lou and Roberto never noticed...
Tuesday
WAAAAAAYYYY another early start this time to get our passports. Taxi arrived dropped us at the train, train arrived and that was us where we needed to be. We took a little snifter of coffee before our appointments and then it was time for the formalities of Her Majesties passport office. All was going swimmingly until it came to my beloved's renewal.......(deep breath in) having two passports (remember he does) when you renew your passport you either need a letter to say that you require two for business travel or you need to take both passports, unfortunately neither of these requirements were in my beloved's possession, because he didn't have the necessary documents his passport application could not be processed, even if my beloved took a taxi and went all the way back to Dartford and back to London for the second passport the process could not be started. To say the air was blue would be an understatement, we left after paying for my passport and receiving a time for collection and booking another appointment for my beloved which was not until 8th April, luckily I managed to get one in the Glasgow office for this Thursday. I then had to deal with an irate Geordie, and the only way to deal with an irate Geordie is glaze over and let them rant, I did exactly that only with my fingers in my ears.
We left the street corner as the fingers in the ears was drawing attention from some very strange people so we thought we had better get to the pub, but only for wifi you understand because now I had to change a Geordies flights from London to Larnaca to Glasgow to London to Larnaca and this could only be done over Skype and this took forever as 'we are experiencing a high volume of calls' was all I kept hearing down the phone just before the engaged signal would kick in, frustratingly it must have taken about 7 or 8 calls before I managed to get someone to talk to who could change the flights, so now I fly home tomorrow as planned and my beloved will go to Glasgow on the train and fly back to Heathrow then out to Larnaca on Friday.
Lunch was taken at The Grosvenor Hotel in the Grand Imperial restaurant, the food was chinese and might I say rather delectable it was too, we shared Crispy Aromatic Duck and Szechwan chicken over a glass of wine, I decided the only to get through the rest of the day was to cloud it with alcohol. Our waiter turned out to be the only Chinese Gay in the village, and when I told my beloved he was naughty said waiter slapped my beloved on either arm John Inman style and said 'yes you are naughty. Time for another wine......
