Relations

Stitch and I did our morning walk, although I have to say it was a quick one, between the showers and the cold weather it was brisk, poor Stitch got short changed if he tried to stop for a sniff as I was cold, he was shivering and the black clouds were looming, shaking the treat bag for Stitch to come into the house proved frustrating as the little bones exploded in an array of chicken, beef and lamb treats all over the floor, I then had to try and get Stitch in the house without him hoovering the whole lot, once that was sorted and the floors washed once again, we set off for Limassol to meet our agent who was taking us for a visit to Cyta, today was the day for organising the internet and TV for the new house.  My beloved was frustrated with the time it was taking, the click, click of the computer was not quick, quick thats for sure.  Eventually we left with a router and an appointment for the engineer to arrive on 20th March to Pareklisia, and all this without a single penny changing hands - very odd.

It was so cold by the time we arrived back home I had to put the fire on but only after I had gone to the DIY store for some firelighters and some eco wood which I mistakenly thought would be a quick way of getting the fire going, two boxes of firelighters later and I had a smouldering fire, it certainly wasn't roasting and you could only feel the heat if you sat on the grate... The weather decided to warm just as the sun decided to set which meant that there really wasn't much heat in the house so it was a good job we were going out.

The relatives have arrived from America, via Englandshire I would have preferred had they not thought to bring the English weather, but at least the rain had stopped.  We met at The Crowne which is where they are staying, had a drink or two then headed out for food.  I chose a restaurant in the old port and a pleasant evening unfolded, now being on top of the Lent issue I was nominated driver and had to watch as my beloved preceded to get pickled and the Cousins vaulted down the vodka - not that I'm bitter you understand.... The band was playing in the restaurant and this could on occasions made hearing a little tricky, especially when the ears are not what they used to be, mainly due to standing in front of a beatbox dancing around like and ejit for too many years during my teaching days, my beloved's excuse is just old age or so I tell him.

We arrived home quite late and my beloved tottered out of the car, Stitch was taken on a business walk and then it was time to sort some bills out, the bank had earlier in the evening misunderstood my change of phone number for fraud and had not allowed me to pay make an international payment, but whilst we were out they sent an apologetic text and business as usual was resumed.
