This morning Stitch and I headed out for a jolly across the lanes, throwing stones and chasing, he is getting very clever now at dropping and most of the time bringing back the stone when asked, but it is so funny to see him try and come to a halt when chasing a stone, he skids, he tumbles and very rarely catches it without a spray of dust being thrown into the air, the house now resembles something akin to Bedrock the home of the Flintstones, everyday I collect up his stones and put them in a pot with his little tennis balls and everyday he brings more in for the pot, if I could only teach him gold prospecting we would be minted...
We headed out after another round of ironing, have you ever noticed the more you wash the more you iron, it's very frustrating and I wish someone would invent clothes that would 1/ iron themselves or 2/ not need ironing at all. Oh how I envy these people that never iron and just fold up clothes ready to wear, obviously they don't live with a Geordie, cos my one was once referred to as the man who always looks like he has just bought a new shirt, always ironed and crease free, and funnily enough always with a collar, I remember once in Turriff we went to the Crowne and Sean was quite shocked that my beloved was wearing a T-shirt as he always has a shirt with a collar, it's nice to have a smart man, but a pain in the arse doing his ironing, and don't even get me started on his jeans. Anyway Stitch and I headed into Limassol, two days now I have been trying to buy coffee and clippers, my beloved keeps saying don't forget the 2 C's, yesterday I had to call him as I had forgotten what the second C was, so today I was determined to get at least the coffee, now don't worry we have peculator coffee which is fantastic, but first thing in the morning when your energy needs a boost you need instant, less fuss, less mess and the same hit.
Limassol was busy as it usually is on Saturday and I slowly manoeuvred through the traffic and picked up my contact lenses, oh and a new pair of sunglasses as my beloved had sat on my ones and his safety glasses although comfortable to wear had scratches across the left eye which were making me dizzy, so I found a very nice pair and headed of to Starbucks with my computer and Stitch, we sat outside in the sunshine and I blogged whilst Stitch sat on his chair, it didn't take him long to work out he had just enough lead to get up onto my knee and as I typed he kept laying his head on the trackpad, he likes to join in with everything... I finished my blog, sent it off into the ether and headed to the supermarket.
Papantoniou is the large supermarket near Ypsonas and I like going their mainly because there is plenty of space and they tend to have most things I want, although alpha mega is better for rolls, they do these amazing square rolls, which really isn't a roll at all if you think about it, so anyway these squares are delicious with soup, or cheese and anything else you like to use them with, my beloved adores them, me I only eat them if we have soup. Anyway I made my way around the store picking up everything I needed then headed home, it was only when I got there I realised I had purchased coffee with vanilla for Frappe and put back the coffee needed for my beloved, not thinking anything else of it I carried on my afternoon, entertaining Stitch whilst the gents in the garden did their gardening things, not easy as Stitch just wanted to bark at them, then around 5.30 I suddenly realised I had not left the coffee on the shelf I had in fact left a bag of shopping in the supermarket which contained not only our coffee, a kilo of mature cheddar and some Wensleydale and apricot cheese, oh and some shower gel, jeeeeez back we went to the supermarket and luckily my bag was waiting for me, when you buy good cheese by the kilo the last thing you want is to forget after you have paid for it..... All this happened after I had gone to Alpha Mega and purchased squares and a jar of coffee, needless to say we now have three jars of coffee.......
