Well actually that's not true, we headed to the Mall which is closer to where I live than the centre of Limassol, on route my beloved called and asked if I could collect him some windscreen wipers for his jeep, this would mean going way across town again, even further into town than the vets, so coffee was needed before that would happen, so I popped into the mall found myself a coffee shop and sat in the sunshine drinking my cappuccino, then it was back through the mall and heyho I found a pair of trainers that fit, obviously Cypriot women have feet as big as Israeli women because I had to get the kids trainers from Reebok again, this time I have nice little velcro straps across the arch of my foot on my new blue trainers, I did like the fluorescent orange ones but I just couldn't see me walking around with my short skirt and orange trainers so dark blue it was, then it was back to the car and off across Limassol for the wipers.
Poor Stitch eventually got his walk but not before we were almost home, and just before I headed into the supermarket, most females have a handbag full to overflowing with all the necessary tools required to keep them happy for a day out shopping, mine too is overflowing but now also contains poop bags, retractable leads and doggie treats for good behaviour, I have lost count of the amount of times I have come across something nasty on the paths that some disgusting dog owner has left as a present for an unsuspecting walker, and today was no different, when we arrived home I spotted a large dog near the house, I have no idea who this dog belongs to but I didn't appreciate his gift on the road to our house, not a problem in daylight but you can guarantee it would have been had I not removed it and we were out in the dark. The next problem was spotted not long after we found the last gift, but this one was from mother nature and you can't fight that lady. We have noticed over the last few weeks a number of hairy caterpillars and today they were right across our road, they were in a procession streaming over the drive so I got the hose and whooshed them back into the field, I got the vinegar and sprayed them, unfortunately it didn't seem to affect them, but you can guarantee if Stitch had stuck his nose into them it would have affected him, having googled them we have two choices neither of them pleasant, one is a Pine moth caterpillar and the other an Oak moth caterpillar both of which will give nasty reactions if touched, I really don't care what they are as long as they are somewhere else. This countryside living is driving me nuts, we have to watch for wasps as we are surrounded by boxes which are probably bees, we have to be careful with caterpillars which travel on mass, and we have to step over the snakes which leave their skin for Stitch to play with, and don't even get me started on the terrible ticks that attached themselves to my poor wee doggie, whoever said living in the Country is better than living in the town is obviously some kind of freak!!!
Whilst in the supermarket today I purchased all the ingredients for a sugar free carrot cake, now when they say sugar free, what they mean is not sugar but plenty of dates which as we all know are seriously sweet, but I'm working on the assumption that dates are better than sugar, but we all know what they say about assumption, and if you don't know go ask your mother or google it!!!!
