Lavender Hair ain't Blue

Today I was up bright and breezy again, and after feeding Stitch headed to Ypsonas post office for a delivery that had apparently been addressed without the house number, so now I have my new book to read, the book is by Victoria Stilwell and is called 'It's me or the Dog', I ordered it just after we got the hound, and now I'm in the process of reading and training Stitch.

I headed into town, parked in the centre then Stitch and I had a walk up the main shopping street, who's name never seems to stick in my head, and I only ever find it if I use Waze and head for Starbucks which I know is at the top of the street, obviously this isn't my usual Starbucks or I would have known that after the deluge of rain we had been receiving over the weekend to be careful how I chose my seat, unfortunately when I stood after finishing I had a wet backside, thank everything godly I had a fleece with me and had to tie it around my waist to hide my wet butt. I was looking for shoes but Stitch was having such a hard time with the traffic as this is a very busy street, so walking with him was quite tricky, I gave up and headed home and took him for a walk around the country roads, I didn't realise how stressed out I was until I got home and my beloved said something to me and nearly lost his head, the country walk with me and my hound sorted me out and all was calm again in my world.

Today I decided to try a new recipe, I decided when we left Romania recently that I was going to discover new recipes and try not to just cook the way we always do, now don't get me wrong the old favourites will still get a look in as after all they are favourites, but now I'm trying to discover new favourites, and so I scrolled through the internet looking for inspiration, and soon I found it, I wanted something quick and that was just what I found, and of all places on the BBC good food page. So I set about preparing Thai Chicken and Mushroom broth, all the ingredients were organised and just as I was about to turn it into broth a call was received from Angelos and then a quick visit to the bar unfolded, an hour turned into three and by the time we got back we were starving so the broth was prepared and dare I say it was extraordinary, extra, extraordinary actually my beloved loved it 10/10 was the general consensus and this cheeky little soup will be going on the favourites list.

Stitch has begun his training and it was teaching him 'down' which proved a little tricky to start with, he sat as asked no problem, but trying to get his belly on the floor was something he couldn't get his head around, eventually I left it, but later in the evening prior to going to the bar I tried again and this time with success, my hand was slavered all over before he got his belly to the floor, but he mastered it and was delighted with his little reward. I did have to yelp a couple of times to warn him that his pawing my hand was actually hurting and he responded immediately, now thats a great trick.

Oh I forgot to mention it was bloody bingo night in the bar again, all the oldies were in and we eventually moved to the outside seating as we were scared by the crazy lavender haired brigade who scowled at us for muttering during their session, I really do prefer the Buccanneer but the Angel is closer...
