The last few days have ranged between air con blasts and sun bed blasts, Saturday we were on the sun beds by the pool and the wind was up to 59km gust which meant reading a book was near impossible and the umbrellas with the marble bases were laid down as they were starting to lift, but it was delicious because it meant the sun didn't feel as hot as it actually was and made for a not so sticky bathe. I even went in the pool again, only for a dunk though it's not the same when you have no kiddie winks to pull around or entertain.
Through the day now we play fetch with Stitch and tend to walk him later in the day as it is so hot out and the pavements are starting to get hot, yesterday we walked him around the village, and on route we bumped into Michael and his wife, we declined the invitation for coffee as we had only just left the house and poor Stitch would really have felt hard done too had he been taken in their car for coffee foregoing the rest of his walk, and anyway I like walking with my boys.
Since the invaders left our boy Stitch now feels it's ok for him to jump up on the sofa anytime he feels like it, having tried so long to hide from the children, be it in his bed, or high on my beloveds' head whilst he sat on the sofa, he now leaps no bother up onto the sofas, and regularly out of the jeep, he still hasn't mastered the getting into the jeep part yet but I'm sure that will come. So now we are having to retrain him into our way of thinking, and that is you only get on the sofa when we say so, he now stands in front of us as if to say 'hello I'm ready', we ignore him and he tries a little nudge with either his head or his bum and when we still ignore him he walks off to his bed but before he enters he always looks around just in case we are kidding, ahhhhhh!
